April 6: Alberta Innovates requests proposals to develop business and tech accelerators

The latest headlines & happenings in Edmonton's tech community. This week: Alberta Innovates has put out a call for proposals with the aim to develop new business and technology accelerators; NACO has named True Angle Medical as Edmonton’s startup of the year for 2021; the Government of Canada has announced $2.89 million for the University of Alberta's Lipid-to-Hydrocarbon (LTH) technology project; the winners of NAIT's Innovation Challenge are proposing a ticket split for sporting events; and the University of Alberta's Michael Bowling has been named a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
